What is AAU Basketball?

The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) is one of the most competitive youth basketball leagues in the country, giving players the opportunity to compete at high-level tournaments, gain exposure, and prepare for college-level play.

Lady Success Elite’s AAU program welcomes girls of all ages and skill levels in Miami, with teams formed by age division and ability. Whether you’re new to travel basketball or an advanced player aiming for elite competition, our AAU pathway offers a place for you to grow.

Joining Lady Success Elite isn’t just about improving your game — it’s about developing the tools to succeed in life.

Every player participates in life skills and leadership training, which includes:

Academic accountability — staying on track with grades and school commitments.
Financial literacy — learning budgeting, credit, and money management.
Leadership development — becoming a leader on and off the court.
Reading program — reading assignments such as How to Win Friends and Influence People, Atomic Habits, How Successful People Lead, How Successful People Think, Rich Dad Poor Dad, to broaden thinking.

Coach David’s own journey — missing his early pro opportunity due to grades — drives his commitment to ensuring players never miss out because they weren’t prepared academically.

Steps to Join Lady Success Elite AAU

Joining Lady Success Elite is simple. Follow the steps below to get started, and you’ll be on your way to training, competing, and growing with one of Miami’s top AAU programs.

Season Details & Expectations

Season Length: February through August
Training Commitment: 3 practices per week led by our experienced coaching staff
Game Days: Competitive matches scheduled on weekends throughout the season
Additional Costs: Travel and accommodation may apply for select tournaments and events

By joining Lady Success Elite, players gain access to high-level training, AAU competition entry, team uniforms, and development in leadership, life skills, and academics.

Complete Your Registration Form

Step 1:

Fill out the online registration form to secure your spot. This ensures we have your details ready for the upcoming trial day. Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email, and Coach David will also get a copy so he can prepare for your evaluation.

Attend Your Trial Day & Evaluation

Step 2:

Come along to the scheduled trial date where you’ll showcase your skills and commitment. Trials are an important step to determine team placement and make sure each player is in the right program level. You’ll meet the coaching staff, experience the training environment, and get a feel for the Lady Success Elite culture.

Confirm Your Spot with Payment

Step 3:

Once you’ve been selected for a team, you’ll finalize your membership by submitting payment. The season fee is $850 per player, with payment plan options available for families who prefer smaller, recurring installments.
